Who can live at New Horizons House?
We welcome seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities who are able to live independently, those in recovery with at least one year of sobriety and sponsor support, and anyone going through a life transition in need of safe, supportive housing.
Do you accept people coming from jail or under supervision?
Due to zoning laws in our area, we are unable to house individuals who are currently under correctional supervision or coming directly from incarceration.
How much does it cost to live at New Horizons House?
Monthly rent varies based on room assignment. Rent includes Wi-Fi, laundry access, utilities, and a fully furnished room. Meals are not included, but residents have full access to a shared kitchen. Please contact us for current rates and availability.
Are meals included?
Residents are responsible for purchasing their own food. Meals may be delivered for convenience, and kitchen space is available for cooking and food storage.
Is the home co-ed?
Yes. New Horizons House is a co-ed living environment. Sleeping arrangements are separated by gender, with a women’s room and a men’s room.
Do I have to be sober to live here?
Yes. Residents in recovery must have at least one year of sobriety and provide a letter of recommendation from a sponsor or recovery mentor.
What is the length of stay?
We ask for a minimum stay of six months. There is no maximum — residents may stay as long as they need, as long as they follow house rules and contribute positively to the community.
Are there house rules?
Yes. We maintain house rules and a shared chore schedule to ensure a peaceful, respectful environment. Quiet hours are from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM daily.
Is there a curfew?
There is no set curfew, but quiet hours must be observed. Residents are expected to communicate their schedules and participate in house responsibilities.
Can I bring a pet?
At this time, pets are not allowed in the home.
